Ball Homes Moves Up in BUILDER 100 Rankings

According to recently released rankings by homebuilding industry publication BUILDER magazine, Ball Homes moved up to claim the #77 ranking in a list of the nation's top builders in 2007.  Residential homebuilders, including publicly traded companies building in markets across the nation, were ranked based on the number of homes they reported closed in 2007.

In a challenging year where many competitors in the market, such as Dominion Homes and Beazer Homes, lost ground in the rankings, Ball Homes moved up eleven places from the #88 spot they occupied in 2006.

Ball Homes has been ranked annually in the top 100 by the magazine's survey since 1998.  One of only 20 privately held companies on this year's top 100 list, this family owned and operated company drew all of its sales from two markets, Lexington/Central Kentucky and Louisville, which are considered part of the Midwest region by the magazine.  A total of 695 new home closings were completed in 2007.

Lisa Ball Sharp, Vice President for Sales at Ball Homes, attributes much of the company's continued presence and performance on the BUILDER 100 list to the efforts of the company's employees and associates at Milestone Realty Consultants and Walden Mortgage who partner with Ball Homes.  "We really appreciate the creativity and willingness to consider new ideas and new ways of doing business in a changing market that our employees and associates have shown in the past few years" says Sharp.  In order to stay competitive, Ball Homes representatives with Milestone have focused on additional training, and marketing strategies have been revised, including a TV and radio campaign launched in 2007.  Employees and associates alike have adapted to new programs like the Trade Program, which has allowed Ball Homes to offer additional security to its homebuyers who face a more challenging resale market than in previous years.
