Ball Homes and Louisville Ranked in Top 50 List

Leading industry publication BUILDER magazine recently ranked Ball Homes as the Louisville area's number one builder, and the Louisville market as one of the nation's 50 top performing markets for new construction in 2007.  Rankings for single family home builders were based on volume of new homes closed, and markets were ranked according to the number of building permits issued for new construction.

Louisville was ranked 47th of 50 national housing markets for new construction.  The top three markets were the metropolitan areas of Houston, Atlanta, and New York, in that order.  Louisville was the only Kentucky city on the list.

Williamsgate Model HomeMike Ball, Vice President for Construction at Ball Homes, in an interview with BUILDER, attributed much of the company's strong performance in the past year to the release of new homesites in two popular locations, Flatrock Ridge and Oldham County's Williamsgate (the Anderson II model in Williamsgate is pictured at right).  Ball Homes also builds in Cooper Farms, Cedar Glen and Cedar Meadows, and has a limited number of homes remaining in its Reserve at Glenmary location.

Ball Homes edged out both local and national builders, including Dominion Homes, Dogwood Homes, McBride and Son, and Monsour Builders for the number one spot, with a total of 197 closings in 2007.  For a complete list, go to http://www.builderonline.com/localleaders/2007/louisville__ky_ind.aspx

Ball Homes, which has been building in Central Kentucky since 1959 and in Louisville since 1997, has also been ranked by BUILDER magazine as one of 2007's top 100 builders in the nation, as reported in the June issue of BUILDER.  Ball Homes appears at #77 this year, moving up 11 places since last year's survey.  Ball Homes has placed among the top 100 builders each year since 1998.
